You did “work or perform any services” if:
· You worked part-time or full-time for an employer during the week and will have your wages reported on a W2 form
The weekly certification (Step 2) will also ask if you “worked or performed any services” during the week. There you will report how much you earned during the week, even if you haven’t been paid yet.
You did not “work or perform any services” if:
· You did not work for an employer during the week
· The work you did was self-employment
· You completed an odd job like mowing a lawn or babysitting during the week - Odd jobs are not done on the behalf of an employer and are not considered a service. Odd jobs may be one-time jobs or re-occurring jobs. For example, babysitting every Thursday night is considered an odd job.
